Who This Is For
Counseling for adults throughout Oklahoma.
Likens Counseling provides secure online counseling for adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, stress, burnout, life transitions, and the impact of high-responsibility roles.
Adults Seeking Counseling
Support for stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship strain, and difficult seasons of life.
First Responders
Counseling for law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch, corrections, military, veterans, and their families.
EMDR Therapy
Trauma-focused treatment for distressing experiences, critical incidents, PTSD symptoms, anxiety, and memories that feel stuck.
Fit
Who may not be a good fit?
I want clients to receive the level of care that best fits their needs. Likens Counseling may not be the best fit for someone who needs immediate crisis services, intensive outpatient treatment, inpatient care, detox services, medication management, or emergency psychiatric support.
If your needs fall outside the scope of this practice, I will do my best to help you identify a more appropriate level of care or type of provider.
Before Your First Session
Preparing for Telehealth Counseling
Choose a Private Location
Plan to attend from a quiet, private space where you can speak openly and limit interruptions.
Use a Reliable Device
A computer, tablet, or phone with a stable internet connection, working camera, and microphone is needed for telehealth sessions.
Complete Forms Early
Completing intake paperwork before your first session helps us use the appointment time more effectively.
Bring Questions
Your first appointment is a good time to ask about counseling, EMDR, insurance, confidentiality, or what to expect moving forward.
Crisis & Emergency Support
This practice is not an emergency service.
Likens Counseling does not provide 24/7 crisis response or emergency services. If you are in immediate danger, believe you may harm yourself or someone else, or need urgent support, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
You can also call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the United States.
Ready When You Are
You do not have to figure everything out before reaching out.
The appointment request is simply a first step. We can talk through what is bringing you in, whether counseling is a good fit, and what the next step should look like.
